At the newly opened Museum of The Environment (MOTE) in Ipswich, see the Planned Obsolescence exhibition come to life during a special evening of live performances and artist talks.
Planned Obsolescence invites us to look again at the things we have been taught to replace, upgrade and throw away – and to consider whether obsolescence might offer the starting point for something new. The evening will involve live demonstrations of handmade instruments and devices constructed from recycled materials and discarded objects, clever sound performances using re-imagined technology, and artists talks.
Entry is free, optional donations welcome.
