Switch Together Suffolk

Helping homes install and use solar energy easily and affordably

news

Switch Together Suffolk is a scheme that helps people in Suffolk install solar panels and battery storage for their homes. It is supported by local councils and works by bringing lots of households together to get a better deal from trusted installers.

Since 2018, Switch Together Suffolk has helped more than 3,000 homes across the county install solar panels. Many residents are already saving money and using cleaner energy at home.

How does it help residents?

1. Save money on energy bills

A home battery can store extra energy to use later, like in the evening. This can save households hundreds of pounds each year and makes bills more predictable.

3. No obligation to take part

Signing up is free, and you don’t have to buy anything. If you decide to go ahead, you’ll pay a small deposit to confirm your installation.

2. A simple and trusted process

All installers are carefully checked to make sure they are safe, skilled, and reliable. You receive one clear offer that is designed for your home, without pressure to accept it.

4. Better for the environment

Solar energy is clean and low‑carbon. By making your own electricity, you help reduce pollution and support a healthier planet for everyone.

How It Works

  1. Register online and tell us a little about your home.
  2. Approved installers compete to offer the best price.
  3. You receive a personalised offer showing costs and savings.
  4. You choose whether or not to go ahead — there is no pressure.
