An off-grid ride to net zero

Since 2023, the ‘Net Zero Innovation Fund’ from Suffolk’s Public Sector Leaders has provided £100k worth of grants to businesses in Suffolk who are creating a more sustainable way of doing things in their industry. A fantastic example of this is EEZYBIKE, who are working to make sustainable travel easier and more accessible. Scroll down to hear from Simon Cooper, a director at EEZYBIKE, as he shows us their newest EEZYPOD installed in Sudbury.

Simon Cooper applied for a pot of money from the Net Zero Innovation Fund to design, develop, and trial new keypad technology to allow for easier online booking and access to their hire bikes, helping create a seamless experience for customers to access the bikes.

With the new technological improvements helping to streamline rider accessibility, the automated off-grid solar-powered EEZYPODS are a fantastic way of encouraging sustainable travel and allow users to trial an electric bike if they haven’t used one before.
