Woodbridge: Deben Climate Centre Energy Workshop

29/09/2026 | 18:00 - 20:30 | The Art Haven, 15 Tide Mill Way, Woodbridge, IP12 1BY

Interactive workshop hosted by Centre for Sustainable Energy, Transition Woodbridge and Deben Climate Centre

Community renewable energy in the Deben area

Communities can help to shape the way that energy is produced and used in their area. We’re engaging four communities in East Suffolk, to start conversations about energy use and renewable energy generation. This includes keeping homes warm and healthy and reducing energy bills.

Community-led energy projects keep benefits local – from cheaper energy bills to investment in local facilities. When communities lead energy projects, they create solutions that work for everyone – helping to tackle rising energy costs and reduce our climate impact

Local people know their area and are best placed to shape solutions that work for everyone. That’s why we are inviting residents in the Deben area to join a discussion about the role community-owned renewables could play in the future energy generation. All voices and views are welcome as we work together to discuss a way forward.

If you can’t make the event we will be holding a drop in session at The Art Haven from 2pm to 5pm so feel free to stop by to learn more about the project and give your views on community renewable energy. If you’d like to stay up to date fill in this form and we’ll share all relevant information from the workshop with you

What is the workshop?
