On The Edge are delighted to let you know that the first events confirmed for the On the Edge Festival of Communities in Lowestoft:

2-9 September – When The Wild West Came To The East: an exhibition. Location: The Old Parcels Office, Lowestoft Central Railway Station, NR32 2EG

12-19 September 11am -3pm – The Vanishing: an exhibition of poetry in the form of ‘anthotypes’. Location: Mayfly Cafe, 72 High St, Lowestoft NR32 1XN.

12 September (Afternoon) – Really Help Wildlife in Your Garden with Bob Flowerdew of Radio 4’s ‘Gardeners’ Question Time’. Location East Point Pavilion, Royal Plain, Lowestoft NR33 0AP. More info to come

17 September 7:30pm – Congress: Buffalo Bill Comes to Lowestoft. Told in songs, words and a slideshow, featuring the John Ward Trio and Andy Jennings. Location: Seagull Theatre, Morton Rd, Pakefield, Lowestoft NR33 0JH.

TBC – Release of the Wishes. Join members of Easterly Arts at Ness Point, Lowestoft NR32 1UX.

22 October – Clarion Calling. An illustrated talk about the Waveney Clarion: a long-running alternative monthly magazine published in the 1970s and 80’s from Lowestoft. More info to come.
