Homes from hemp: a more sustainable...We’re trialling electric community vehicles in several locations across Suffolk, so you can simply book a car when you need, cutting out the expense of ownership.
Convenient and useful for you, Car Clubs also improve air quality, reduce congestion and increase mobility for those without access to their own car. You can also experience driving an electric vehicle without the cost of owning one.
Nine locations have launched with two more on the way. Each location has two vehicles with a range of over 200 miles, which you can book by the minute, hour or day.

It’s now your chance to vote on the names for our Car Club vehicles!
From 9–22 March 2026, the public were invited to submit their most creative name ideas. All entries were reviewed and the shortlisted picked by a panel.
The public can now pick their top two names for each Car Club location, and we’ll announce the winning names on 15 April 2026. You can vote at Vote for your favourite car names.
We have two cars in each location so there will be a total of 18 winners! Each winning entrant will receive £25 credit to use when hiring the cars, and their winning name will be printed on the car for everyone to see!
